OUR STORY

Delaware Sensory Museum was founded by India Williams, a communications strategist, entrepreneur, and autism mother who experienced firsthand the challenges families face when searching for spaces where their children are truly understood.

What began as a deeply personal mission has evolved into a statewide movement focused on creating environments where children can explore confidently, caregivers feel seen, and communities become better equipped to support neurodivergent individuals.

DSM is building more than a museum. We are creating a new model for inclusion.

To create immersive, sensory-informed environments that foster inclusive play and learning while empowering families, educators, healthcare providers, and communities with training, resources, and practical tools.

A world where every child, regardless of ability, has access to environments that support exploration, regulation, and belonging.
